Tissue expanders were used to stimulate orbital growth at different stages of maturity in the immature anophthalmic cat orbit. PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to distinguish different forms of orbital involvement in granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) and to compare their clinical course and outcomes.
METHODS: Two hundred twenty-six consecutive patients with GPA were retrospectively studied. All patients fulfilled the classification criteria of American College of Rheumatology; diagnosis of localized GPA was established according to Chapel Hill Consensus. Here, we tested the hypothesis that the corneal response to lens wear alone can function to protect it against bacterial adhesion enabled by superficial injury. One eye only of mT/mG-LysMcre mice (cell membranes red; Lyz2+ cells green) wore a contact lens for 4-6 days.
