OBJECTIVE: The Yasui operation was introduced in 1987 for patients with 2 adequate ventricles, a ventricular septal defect, and aortic atresia or interrupted aortic arch. Despite promising early outcomes, left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (LVOTO) remains a long-term concern. The purpose of this study is to report our institutional experience with the Yasui operation.
METHODS: We retrospectively reviewed all patients undergoing the Yasui operation between 1989 and 2021. Results are reported as median with interquartile range (IQR).

OBJECTIVE: To assess clinical and echocardiographic characteristics and disease progression in a Brazilian cohort of patients with HCM.
METHODS: This retrospective cohort included patients with HCM aged ≥ 18 years. Patients with moderate or severe aortic stenosis and those undergoing septal reduction were excluded. The significance level adopted in the statistical analysis was 5%.

BACKGROUND: Forecasting the prognosis of a child when diagnosed with Ebstein's anomaly is difficult. We, therefore, studied which factors at the time of diagnosis are associated with death during childhood.
