A 63-year-old man who had general malaise and dyspnea on effort, was admitted to our hospital. Chest X-ray film on admission showed left pleural effusion. Chest and abdominal CT after left chest drainage revealed left pleural thickening, mediastinal lymph node swelling, multiple lung nodules, osteolytic change of the left 4th rib, and multiple liver tumors. Right pleural effusion and ascites was also recognized. Cytology of the left pleural effusion suggested malignant mesothelioma. He had a skin tumor on his anterior chest. We report the case of a patient with ileocolic intussusception caused by cecal lymphangioma. A 45-year-old man visited our hospital with a 2-month history of frequent episodes of watery diarrhea (>/= 5 times/day) and intermittent abdominal pain. A cecal submucosal tumor with mucosal ulceration and partial obstruction of the colonic lumen was identified by colonoscopy. A case of colocolonic invagination is presented. The mass was palpated preoperatively and diagnosed by barium enema X-ray and ultrasound. Operation confirmed the diagnosis and demonstrated a coecum tumor. The patient was treated successfully with a right hemicolectomy.

We report a 55-year-old man with angiosarcoma of the cecum who presented with generalized colicky abdominal pain with a mass in the periumbilical region. The lesion at surgery was a colo-colic intussusception extending to the midtransverse colon. A radical right hemicolectomy was done. Metastases to regional lymph nodes were noted in the specimen.

Colonic malakoplakia can occur either as a part of systemic disease with multiple colonic and extracolonic deposits or as an incidental finding associated with a rectal or sigmoidal adenocarcinoma. A case is reported which shows an association between malakoplakia and adenocarcinoma of the caecum.
