Energy transition from fossil fuels to renewables is instrumental in mitigating climate change. We examined national associations between malaria incidence, institutional capacity, economic development, structural vulnerability and selected environmental indicators during 2000-2023. Environmental taxes play a critical role in mitigating air pollution and fostering sustainability by internalizing the social costs of environmental damage.
