BACKGROUND: To promote the development of older adult care services, a government can offer two types of subsidy programs: a consumer subsidy policy and a service subsidy policy. Choosing an appropriate subsidy policy to maximize social welfare is a critical decision for the government.

In this paper, we applied the behavioral-economic concept of unit price to the study of reinforcer magnitude in an attempt to provide a consistent account of the effects of reinforcer magnitude on behavior. RATIONALE: Intermittent Access (IntA) cocaine self-administration, which models intermittent patterns of cocaine use in humans during the transition to addiction, is especially effective in producing incentive-sensitization and other addiction-like behavior in male rats. However, female rats show more robust psychomotor sensitization than males, and following initial use, women develop problematic patterns of drug use more readily than men.
