Hoarding behavior associated with focal brain injury is rarely reported. The authors report a 46-year-old man with pathologic collecting behavior after a left orbitofrontal and caudate injury from an aneurysmal rupture of anterior communicating artery. His hoarding, an impulse control disorder or an ego-syntonic compulsion, was restricted to one specific item (toy bullet). Treatments with sertraline or fluoxetine were not effective for the hoarding.

The aetiology is seen as arising from the relationship of the afflicted individual to his ancestors, i.e. either positive or negative. In this chapter, we examine the self and identity by considering the different conditions under which these are affected by the groups to which people belong. From a social identity perspective we argue that group commitment, on the one hand, and features of the social context, on the other hand, are crucial determinants of central identity concerns. The aim of this study is to explore the effects of ChunDoSunBup Qi-training on personality traits. Twenty-six normal healthy subjects (mean age = 26.58 +/- 6.56) and 26 CDSB Qi-trainees (mean age = 27.74 +/- 5.21) participated in this study.
