Amyloidosis is characterized by the extracellular deposition of abnormal amyloid protein fibrils in tissues. Amyloidosis of the eyelid and conjunctiva (AEC) is a rare clinical finding. We present the case of a 48-year-old female patient with pinkish-yellow infiltration in the upper and lower bulbar conjunctiva, along with a firm, well-circumscribed nodular lesion on the lower eyelid of the right eye. Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia is an uncommon tumor affecting the head and neck region. It usually presents as solitary or multiple erythematous or brownish papules and nodules. It is considered a reactive angioproliferative disorder by some, whereas others believe it to be a neoplastic growth. Involvement of the eyelid is a rare occurrence. We report an instance of angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia involving the eyelid in a 19-year-old woman with review of literature.

BACKGROUND: Mucoceles are benign mucous-containing cysts that can occur in the sinuses. They arise as a result of an obstruction of the sinus ostium. There is often a delay in diagnosis because symptoms are so variable.
CASE DESCRIPTION: A 52-year-old woman had intermittent swelling of the eyelid. A CT scan of the sinuses showed a mucocele in the frontal sinus with breakthrough to the left orbit. Treatment consisted of marsupialisation by means of functional endoscopic sinus surgery with septum correction.

Injuries to the eyelids mandate a systematic evaluation of the eye and ocular adnexa. Anatomic knowledge and an understanding of the etiology of periocular injuries are required for evaluation, optimal patient care, and to aid in prevention of globe dysfunction. The authors report a possible association between posaconazole, a new systemic antifungal, and eyelid granulomata. A 12-year-old boy presented with a 2-week history of bilateral eyelid granulomata. They were noted to reduce in size and symptoms when posaconazole was discontinued. Symptoms increased when the drug was restarted.
