Fear is a common behavioral problem in dogs. In this paper, we studied the association between behavioral and physiological responses in two potentially fear-eliciting situations. Through focus group methodology, the study examines three contexts that delineate the co-occurrence of intimate partner violence and sexual risk behaviors among 68 women on methadone. The aim of this study was to examine cognitive mediators of situational fear in agoraphobia. Patients suffering from panic disorder with moderate or severe agoraphobia were randomly assigned to receive either cognitive therapy or guided mastery therapy in a 6-week inpatient group program. The results were consistent with a self-efficacy model of agoraphobia.
