Veterinary literature on epiglottic disorders and their treatment in dogs is limited. The objective of this study is to report the clinical features, diagnosis, surgical treatment, and outcomes of dogs with epiglottic conditions treated using diode laser epiglottidectomy (DLE). This was a single-institution observational prospective study. Thirty-five dogs diagnosed with epiglottic disease underwent DLE. PURPOSE: To assess the safety and effectiveness of augmented MicroPulse (MP-TSCPC) with limited Continuous Wave Transscleral Cyclophotocoagulation (CW-TSCPC) in patients with refractory glaucoma.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the feasibility and safety of office hysteroscopic metroplasty using a 980nm diode laser.
STUDY DESIGN: 18 patients were treated for septate uterus between 2013 and 2016. The indications for hysteroscopic metroplasty were recurrent abortion in 11 of the women and primary infertility in the other seven. We used a 5mm-office hysteroscope with a diode laser fibre. After exploration of the cavity, the septum was divided with use of the laser fibre.

Spindle cell carcinomas of the tonsil are very rare tumors. We present an additional case that occurred in a 58-year-old woman. She presented with a tumor of the right tonsil. Histologic sections of tonsillar biopsies suggested that this tumor was a squamous cell carcinoma. She underwent a transoral resection of the right oropharynx. The final diagnosis was spindle cell carcinoma. We emphasize the difficulties in diagnosing this type of tumor and discuss therapeutic approaches to this rare tumor, which shows little response to radiotherapy; the literature is reviewed. Fetoscopic coagulation of placental anastomoses is the treatment of choice for severe twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. In the present day, fetal laser therapy is also used to treat amniotic bands, chorioangiomas, sacrococcygeal teratomas, lower urinary tract obstructions and chest masses, all of which will be reviewed in this article. Amniotic band syndrome can cause limb amputation by impairing downstream blood flow. A 70-year-old man had undergone a complicated cataract extraction followed by repair of iris prolapse ending up with secondary glaucoma. Refusing routine filtering surgery, patient underwent contact transconjunctival diode laser cyclophotocoagulation. This report highlights the occurrence of corneal edema restricted to the inferior half of cornea following a diode laser cyclophotocoagulation performed in the inferior 180 degrees. The necessity to perform a routine specular microscopy in all such cases is highlighted, especially in eyes with good visual acuity.

Efficacy of the ureteric stricture (UC) treatment, using energy of the Holmium (in 55% patients) and the diode (in 45%) lasers was analyzed. In 37 (77%) patient spositive results were achieved already after one session, in 4 (8.3%) — one more session was performed in terms up to 3 mo after the first one, in 3 (6.3%) — two sessions were per' formed. Positive results were achieved in total in 91.6% patients. Application of laser energy in treatment of UC is effective and not dependent from the energy kind and con' stitutes a perspective method of the patient's endoscopic treatment.
