INTRODUCTION AND IMPORTANCE: Demons-Meigs syndrome is a rare condition characterized by the presence of a benign fibroma of the ovary, ascites, and pleural effusion. It is very uncommon, and the diagnosis is made with difficulty based on symptoms that usually mimic disseminated malignancy or tuberculosis, but imaging may confirm the diagnosis. The definitive treatment is laparotomy, after which the symptoms resolve.

MATERIALS AND METHODS: Fifteen consecutive patients who underwent STN-DBS at the Peking University People's Hospital between September 2017 and June 2018 were included in this study. Reports of supernumerary ovaries are rare. We describe two such cases, one with fibroma and the other with endometriosis and cystic change. A large fibroma measuring 17.4 x 12.0 x 7.5 cm in size was found in the supernumerary ovary of the omentum in the first case of a 47-year-old married woman with Meig's syndrome. INTRODUCTION: Non-motor symptoms are an essential cause of comorbidity in generalized and focal dystonia. However, there are few studies on dystonia involving the craniofacial regions.
METHODS: We studied non-motor symptoms in patients with oromandibular dystonia (OMD) and Meige syndrome using a questionnaire, and validated instruments for depression, anxiety, REM behaviour disorder, restless leg syndrome, sleep quality, excessive daytime sleepiness, and self-esteem.
