Seven novel cell lines from canine histiocytic sarcoma (HS), three of which were disseminated cutaneous HS and four of which were synovial HS, were established. The possibility of the survival of guinea pigs after the simultaneous administration of different doses of Bacillus anthracis virulent strain 81/1 in combination with both B. anthracis vaccine strain STI and heterologous bacilli (B. subtilis strain PAC) has been experimentally shown. On days 15-20 after immunization of patients suffering from endometrial tumors with tularemia live vaccine, a significant increase was registered in T-cell population of the immune system, macrophagal transformation of mononuclears and phagocyticity of blood neutrophiles which are generally reduced in stages III-IV. Whipple's disease is a systemic illness caused by a specific agent. Despite recognition of bacteria in lesions, efforts to isolate the causative agent remained futile. A novel strategy was devised to culture Whipple bacilli in deactivated mononuclear phagocytes. Infected tissue was inoculated into human phagocytes deactivated with interleukin (IL)-4, IL-10, and dexamethasone. The ultrastructural study of the growth cartilage of pycnodysostosis reveals the presence of abnormal inclusions in the majority of the chondrocytes.
