Understanding the processes that mobilize and transport dissolved phosphorus (P) during storms is critical to managing P in flat landscapes with open ditch drainage and legacy soil P. PURPOSE: Phosphorus magnetic resonance spectroscopy ((31)P-MRS) affords unique insight into cardiac energetics but has a low intrinsic signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in humans. In this paper, we use our quantitative (31)P NMR spin trapping methods, already developed for simple oxygen- and carbon-centered radicals, to understand the radical intermediates generated by enzymatic systems and more specifically lipoxygenases. When partially purified Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus was centrifuged to equilibrium in CsCl, three virus specific bands were observed.
