Modified Bu-zhong-yi-qi decoction synergies with 5 fluorouracile to inhibits gastric cancer progress via PD-1/PD- L1-dependent T cell immunization.

Gastric cancer remains the second most common tumor in China. Modified-Bu-zhong-yi-qi decoction (mBYD) as an adjuvant therapy for gastric cancer patients after chemotherapy could significantly prolong the survival time of patients. However, the potential anticancer mechanism for mBYD has not been well characterized. Here, we conducted a comprehensive study of mBYD on a gastric cancer xenograft model with MFC cells in 615 mice and patients. Our results showed that the survival times of the 5-FU + mBYD and mBYD groups were significantly longer than that of the control group. Moreover, the 5-FU +

Protective effect of Bu-Zhong-Yi-Qi decoction, the water extract of Chinese traditional herbal medicine, on 5-fluorouracil-induced intestinal mucositis in mice.

Intestinal mucositis is a serious toxic side effect of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) treatment. Bu-Zhong-Yi-Qi decoction (BZYQD), a water extract of Chinese traditional herbal medicine, is widely used in chemotherapy in Asia as an alternative treatment to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. However, the mechanism is unknown. To evaluate its mechanism, we investigated the effect of BZYQD on 5-FU-induced intestinal mucositis in mice, especially with regard to apoptosis in the intestinal mucosal epithelia. In the present study, mice were divided into three groups: control, 5-FU, and 5-FU + BZYQD. Mi

Integrating "Yang transforming Qi and Yin constituting the body" with immune regulation: an evidence synthesis of multidimensional traditional chinese medicine therapy for immune thrombocytopenia.

Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an acquired autoimmune hemorrhagic disorder with a substantial incidence globally across all age groups. Its pathogenesis involves the accelerated immune-mediated platelet destruction and impaired platelet production due to dysfunctional megakaryocyte maturation interactively. ITP is primarily treated by glucocorticoids and intravenous immunoglobulin in Western medicine conventionally. However, these therapies exhibit several limitations such as corticosteroid dependency, increased risk of infection, treatment resistance, and frequent relapse, despite its obvio

BACKGROUND: Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease related to the production of autoantibodies. It is mediated by antibodies against acetylcholine receptor (AChR), muscle specific kinase (MuSK) or other AChR related proteins in the postsynaptic muscle membrane, which interfere with the transmission of signals at the neuromuscular junction, resulting in clinical symptoms of skeletal muscle weakness and fatigue, leading to the occurrence and development of MG. At present, the incidence rate of Mg is increasing year by year. At present, the method of invigorating spleen, replenishing qi
