A new omental transposition technique was applied to a patient who underwent resection and in situ reconstruction of purulently infected abdominal aortic aneurysm to prevent recurrent retroperitoneal and graft infection. Chronic expanding hematomas (CEHs) in the retroperitoneal space are rare disease. Since CEHs often develop huge masses, it is difficult to differentiated from malignant tumor. Idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis is a rare finding usually confined to the retroperitoneal space. Symptoms caused by this fibrotic process are usually secondary to compression and constriction of local anatomic structures. The ureters are the most common site of involvement, although the biliary tree, duodenum, and vasculature may also be affected. This case report describes a patient with retroperitoneal fibrosis involving the pancreas and common bile duct, and whose clinical course and investigative results stimulated cancer of the pancreas.

Leiomyomas are benign mesenchymal tumors which originate from smooth muscle cells. Extrauterine leiomyomas are rare and they may arise where smooth muscle cells are found. Their diagnosis is challenging due to their heterogeneous ways of presentation.
