BACKGROUND: Turf toe is a plantar plate injury of the first metatarsophalangeal joint that commonly occurs in athletes participating in outdoor cutting sports. However, there is a lack of evidence-based consensus on treatment guidelines and surgical outcomes in the current literature.

OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and applicability of questionnaires to determine schistosomiasis endemic areas in Zimbabwe.

SETTING: Makonde District, Zimbabwe.
SUBJECTS: Headmasters and children in Grades II to V of the 121 schools in the district.

BACKGROUND: Adolescents with acute concussion may experience increased symptoms when returning to school. We sought to compare time to concussion resolution during the academic school year and summer break.
METHODS: This retrospective chart review assessed adolescents aged 13-18 years presenting within 14 days of concussion to an outpatient sports medicine clinic. The primary outcome was days to concussion resolution. Participants were categorized into "school" or "summer" groups based on the timing of their concussion in relation to local school calendars.

PURPOSE: To assess statewide prevalence of medical access, concussion reporting, and concussion clearance rates of high school athletic departments in Massachusetts after the implementation of state-wide concussion legislation.
