We presented a total of ten women which referred a varied syntomatology secondary to a bladder foreign body due to the suture employed in the stress incontinence surgery in which urethrovesical suspension techniques were performed. In these patients, to six a Marshall-Marchetti-Krantz technique was practised, to three modified Burch procedure and to the left a suspension according to Raz method. OBJECTIVE: To describe a case of bladder neck suspensión with special reference to the complications associated with this procedure.
METHODS/RESULTS: Herein we describe a patient who developed most of the reported associated complications following two bladder neck suspension procedures: bilateral ureteral ligation, osteitis pubis, retropubic hematoma, eventration and recurrence of urinary stress incontinence. Finally, after two reoperations, the complications were resolved and the patient is continent.
CONCLUSIONS: Bladder neck suspension is usually associated with a low complication rate.

The work discusses the results of the effect of intraoperative treatment of the abdominal cavity with a magnetite suspension on the T-cell link of the immunological reactivity of the organism of patients with diffuse forms of peritonitis. The preparation intensified lymphocyte proliferative activity. It was found that increase of the lymphocyte stimulation index in intraoperative treatment of the abdominal cavity with magnetite suspension in peritonitis was consequent upon increased production of interleukin-1 and other growth factors by macrophages.

A new modification of transvaginal technique of bladder neck suspension is described. Its main merit is its safety. The ligature-carrying needles are inserted from below rather than above. It virtually eliminates bladder injury. Our experience with 29 cases and a follow-up of six to thirty months shows that this technique is as successful as other similar procedures in controlling genuine stress incontinence.

Hemagglutinating antigens of Western equine encephalomyelitis (WEE) virus and 5 strains of tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) virus were charcaterized by their capacity to adsorb on inorganic (kaolin, bentonite, barium sulphate) and organic (chick embryo fibroblasts) adsorbents. The adsorption capacity of TBE virus was more marked than that of WEE. Physicans treating laryngeal trauma are still looking for ways to improve results. Severe disruption of the supporting structures between hyoid and trachea may allow stretching and narrowing of the laryngeal lumen during the healing period. This can easily be prevented by placing wires across the disrupted zone. In addition, loss of the epithelial lining of the larynx is a serious cause of stenosis. By dissecting out the epiglottic cartilage, one can create a sizeable, useful flap of mucous membrane based in the vallecula to use in relining of the anterior larynx.
