Herein, we present the case of a patient who suffered from adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after obtaining a sustained virological response following treatment with a direct-acting antiviral (DAA) at different points in time. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Conjunctival lymphoma is rare in dogs, with most cases exhibiting the B cell phenotype. Concurrent cutaneous and conjunctival T cell involvement is exceptionally uncommon. This case report describes a dog with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma that presented with chronic conjunctivitis and conjunctival T-lymphocyte infiltration.
ANIMAL STUDIED: A 15-year-old spayed female Chihuahua presented with a 3-month history of bilateral conjunctivitis that was unresponsive to conventional therapy.

The results of examination of 15 patients with autoimmune and subacute thyroiditis are analyzed. T-cellular immunity parameters have been examined, i.e. total T-lymphocytes, T-suppressors, T-helpers, killers. The study has revealed a reduction of the total T-lymphocyte count and a shifted ratio of the T-lymphocyte subpopulations, these changes being more manifest in autoimmune thyroiditis. T-activin++ therapy resulted in a manifest tendency to normalization of the counts of T-lymphocytes and their subpopulations.

T lymphocyte subpopulations (T gamma and Tmu) were studied in a group of 36 adult patients with immunodeficiency. The effect of warfarin on T lymphocyte activation in vitro was investigated. Warfarin was found to cause a dose-dependent inhibition of both antigen- and PHA-stimulated proliferation. A procedure which results in the specific activation of primed murine T lymphocytes was adapted for the study of T lymphocyte activation by the African trypanosome: Trypanosoma brucei. OBJECTIVE: To observe the cellular immunologic status of patients with chronic tonsillis.
METHOD: T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood lymphocytes of 60 cases with chronic tonsillis were detected.
RESULT: It was found that CD4, CD4/CD8 in chronic tonsillis patients decreased than that in normal control group with statistical significance (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSION: This study indicates that the cellular immunologic status in patients with chronic tonsillitis was decreased.

The ability of B-lymphocytes to produce immunoglobulins in response to pokeweek mitogen stimulation was studied in 21 untreated stage III lung cancer patients by culture of their mononuclear cells in vitro.
