Holes in silicon quantum dots are promising for spin qubit applications due to the strong intrinsic spin-orbit coupling. The spin-orbit coupling produces complex hole-spin dynamics, providing opportunities to further optimise spin qubits. Here, we demonstrate a singlet-triplet qubit using hole states in a planar metal-oxide-semiconductor double quantum dot. We demonstrate rapid qubit control with singlet-triplet oscillations up to 400 MHz. Design, synthesis, and isolation of a Kekulé hydrocarbon with a triplet ground state is described. Its triplet ground state was unambiguously confirmed by ESR experiments, and the structure and fundamental physical properties were also revealed. The key feature of the molecular design is the decrease in the bonding interaction in the singlet state by aromatic stabilization of benzene rings and the increase of the exchange interaction of unpaired electrons which are favorable for the triplet state. These results contribute to the development of hydrocarbon-based organic magnetic materials.

BACKGROUND: The management of delayed delivery in a triplet pregnancy is described.
CASE: A 25-year-old woman with an in vitro fertilization pregnancy aborted the presenting fetus at 19th gestational week. As she decided to carry on, cervical cerclage, tocolysis and antimicrobial prophylaxis were performed. The remaining fetuses survived until 29th gestational week.
CONCLUSION: Prolongation of multiple pregnancies after the abortion of presenting fetuses is a possible approach, which is especially justified in women with a history of infertility.

DESIGN: All the records of the 16 triplet pregnancies managed in Jos University Teaching Hospital, North Central Nigeria, were retrieved and analysed.
