BACKGROUND: Angiosarcoma is an aggressive malignant neoplasm of vascular origin. Oral metastases of angiosarcoma are rare and have a non-specific clinical presentation, thus the diagnosis may be challenging.

Hemangioma in female reproductive organs, particularly in the fallopian tube (FT), is a sporadic disease. In this report, we describe a case of hidden capillary hemangioma in FT in a 39-year-old woman who suffered from uterine leiomyoma. During the preoperative stage, pelvic sonography, computed tomography, and diagnostic laparoscopy revealed a subserous leiomyomatous nodule located along the posterior wall of the uterus. Bevacizumab is a recombinant humanised monoclonal antibody directed against the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). The drug, alone or in combination with other anticancer agents, has been shown to be effective against several types of neoplasms. We report a case of a woman with a history of severe psoriasis who developed psoriatic arthritis during a course of bevacizumab, which was administered for a malignant glioma.

Primary spinal neoplasms are rare tumors that can lead to significant morbidity secondary to local bone destruction and invasion into adjacent neurological and vascular structures. These tumors represent a clinical challenge to even the most experienced physicians and require a multidisciplinary approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This review will discuss the most common primary bone tumors and focus on recent surgical, medical, and radiation treatment advances.

Leiomyomas are benign neoplasms that are thought to originate from the vascular smooth muscle. They have a propensity to arise from the gastrointestinal tract, female genital tract (uterus) and subcutaneous tissue. The nasal cavity is an uncommon site for a leiomyoma. We report a 24-year-old woman with a rare nasal leiomyoma. A brief review of the literature and histological variations are described.

Systemic haemangiopericytoma is a rare soft tissue tumour originating from pericytes which are contractile pericapillary cells, and represents less than one percent of all vascular neoplasms. The most common site of involvement is the thigh followed by the retroperitoneum, while the paraspinal location is very rare. We report the first case of systemic "dumb-bell" haemangiopericytoma illustrated radiologically, which mimick, a dorsal "dumb-bell" neurinoma.

Twenty-five patients undergoing cystectomy and diversion for transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder and 8 patients having major surgery for renal and testes neoplasms and trauma have received needle jejunostomy placement at the time of surgery. One patient died secondary to vascular collapse. Postmortem examination revealed necrosis of the entire small bowel except the conduit segment. The implications of these findings are discussed.

Spontaneous perirenal hematoma or Wünderlich syndrome is a rare entity that requires urgent attention. The most frequent causes are renal neoplasms, mainly renal angiomyolipoma, and vascular diseases (vasculitis). We present a case of a woman with a history of renal angiomyolipomas associated with tuberous sclerosis complex, who developed Wünderlich's syndrome associated with medial vessel vasculitis as well as an uncommon instance of intratumoral endometriosis.

Liver involvement with opportunistic infections and neoplasms is a well-recognized component of AIDS, affecting most patients. The cause of hepatic disease in these patients may be divided into hepatitis, granulomatous disease, mass lesions, vascular lesions, hepatotoxic drugs, and nonspecific findings. With a rational approach, most patients with AIDS and liver disease can be diagnosed and treated in a cost-effective manner with low morbidity.

Two cases of neuropathic disease of the shoulder without evidence of a neurological disorder are described. The absence of any neurological disorder led to the cases being initially mistaken for primary neoplasms of bone, lending support to the vascular theory of pathogenesis of this lesion. Careful attention to the radiographic features and knowledge that a neurological disorder need not be present should lead to the correct diagnosis.

Pseudomyogenic hemangioendothelioma (PMHE) is a rare vascular neoplasm with an intermediate to low-grade malignant potential. Only 5% of PMHEs occur in the head and neck. This tumor exhibits different histological patterns and mimics other vascular tumors, myoid tumors, or carcinomas. The distinction between these tumors can be a very challenging situation for pathologists. In this article, we report the first case, to our knowledge, of PMHE arising in the maxillary sinus, to highlight this uncommon entity and discuss differential diagnoses.

Endometrial cancer has become a more frequent neoplasm of the female genital tract. The role of lymphadenectomy in surgical treatment of this neoplasm has not been finally defined. Gingival angioleiomyoma are rarely encountered lesions and most of these lesions are excised in toto in view of reactive gingival epulitic lesions.
