INTRODUCTION:: Totally implantable venous access devices are used extensively worldwide in cancer patients for administration of venotoxic agents, blood sampling, and nutrition. Post-thrombotic syndrome is common after iliofemoral vein thrombosis. Conservative therapy, mainly limited to compression and anticoagulation therapy, might not be sufficient in controlling symptoms. Mesentericoportal venous thrombosis (MVT) is a rare condition, accounting for 5-15% of acute mesenteric ischemia. Primary MVT is even rarer, with some reports quoting an incidence rate of 10-30% of reported cases. It presents a diagnostic challenge and is associated with a significant mortality rate, ranging from 13% to 50%. As it is an uncommon condition, the evidence in current literature regarding the treatment of MVT is limited. Coronary artery fistulas (CAFs) are rare and mostly congenital anomalous connections between a coronary artery and a cardiac chamber or great vessel. Most CAFs are small, asymptomatic, and found incidentally during cardiac imaging.
