We present a case of a man with a background of myasthenia gravis who presented with a neck lump, which was diagnosed as thyrolipomatosis in continuity with a very large thymolipoma. Following removal of these lesions, the patient's myaesthenic symptoms improved. While thymolipomas are often seen in the context of myasthenia gravis, thyrolipomatosis is a rare entity and to our knowledge the concurrent finding of both lesions with myasthenia gravis has never been reported. We highlight the important imaging features of both entities and the clinical importance of recognising them.

Two cases of postpericardiotomy syndrome (PPS) after thymothymectomy associated with pericardiotomy are described. The incidence of PPS in cardiac operations is reportedly 10-30%. Although no reports have been described in the English literature, our retrospective analysis revealed similar incidents following mediastinal tumor operation associated with pericardiotomy in cardiac surgery. Clinicians should thus be aware of this syndrome.

A mediastinal tumor in a 49-year-old woman with myasthenia gravis is reported. The tumor was well-demarcated and located in the supero-anterior mediastinum. Microscopically, the tumor consisted of thymic and neuroblastic tumor components, the latter of which consisted of immature and maturing neuronal cells, abundant neuropils, and Schwannian stroma. The two components intermingled with each other inside the tumor capsule. The tumor was diagnosed as thymoma with a ganglioneuroblastomatous component. The coexistence of epithelial and neuronal tissues in the thymic neoplasm is extremely rare.

We present a case of a 53 year old man with a thymoma near the pericardium, a rare ectopic localisation of thymoma. A round radiodensity found at the right cardiophrenic angle was initially suspected at the echocardiography to be a pericardial cyst.
