OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to determine the value of duplex and color Doppler sonography in the detection of ocular involvement in Behçet's disease.
SUBJECTS AND METHODS: Duplex and color Doppler sonography was done in 21 patients with Behçet's disease and ocular involvement and in 22 patients with Behçet's disease but without ocular involvement. Twenty health volunteers also were examined as a control group. Flow velocities in the central retinal artery, posterior ciliary arteries, and ophthalmic artery were measured in the patients with Behçet's disease.

Infants with the triad (neurologic dysfunction, subdural hematoma [SDH], and retinal hemorrhage) are often diagnosed as victims of shaken baby syndrome. We report intraoperative hypotony throughout the 25G vitrectomy procedure of an elderly patient with dense vitreous hemorrhage when switching to a 20G cutter. This was due to fluidic mismatch between the 25G infusion and 20G aspiration systems. No leakage from the sclerotomy sites or choroidal effusion was noted.

PURPOSE: Retinal telangiectatic capillaries (TelCaps) are microvascular abnormalities associated with chronic vascular macular oedema and suboptimal response to intravitreal therapy.
