An unusual case of ameloblastic fibroma involving two supernumerary teeth in the anterior part of maxilla has been presented here. The radiographic picture mimics a dentigerous cyst where there is a gross migration of one of the involved super-numerary tooth. After the histopathological diagnosis, the lesion was treated with enucleation and curettage.

The distribution of calcium in the enamel organ of the rat incisor was investigated using potassium pyroantimonate for ultrastructural localization of calcium. Secretory ameloblasts have multiple functions including the synthesis and resorption of enamel matrix proteins and calcium transport during enamel formation. We have examined these functions by means of cytochemistry and immunocytochemistry. BACKGROUND: Ameloblastic fibrosarcoma (AFS) is a rare odontogenic neoplasm of the jaw that usually arises de novo or through a malignant change in the mesenchymal component of a preexisting or recurrent benign fibroma. The majority of AFS cases reported in the literature arise in the mandible.
CASE REPORT: A 35-year-old male presented with an asymptomatic left maxillary mass that on imaging was found to be effacing most of his maxillary sinus. He underwent a left maxillectomy with free-flap reconstruction and adjuvant radiotherapy to the tumor bed.

Ameloblastic fibroma is a rare true mixed tumor of odontogenic origin with both mesenchymal and ectodermal components. It usually arises from the mandibular dentition and presents in the second decade of life. It is a benign slow growing tumor that is less infiltrative than an ameloblastoma but tends to expand bone. Ameloblastic carcinoma (AC) is a rare, primary epithelial odontogenic malignant neoplasm. It is the malignant counterpart of ameloblastoma. Ameloblastic fibroma is a relatively rare benign odontogenic tumor in which both the epithelial and ectomesenchymal components are neoplastic. An 8-year-old Caucasian boy was referred to the dentist for evaluation of failed eruption of the maxillary left first molar. This paper reports one case, of an ameloblastic fibro-odontosarcoma (AFOS) affecting the mandible, in a 12-year-old girl. This neoplasm is a rare odontogenic neoplasm. Two cases of ameloblastic fibroma are described. One case was a seven-year-old girl, the other a 13-year-old boy. In both cases the tumour was located in the posterior part of the maxilla. Both neoplasms were associated with failure of tooth eruption, in one case a primary molar, in the other case a permanent molar. Local excision was performed in both cases, with a recurrence observed in one case ten months after surgery.
