This communication deals with an autoratiographic analysis of two experiments in which multiple injections of 35S methionine were performed around the cruciate sulcus of cat. One case was studied in coronal sections and the other in sagittal sections. Currently, there is no protocol for the detection of intra-articular distribution of Er-169 citrate after radiosynovectomy. We propose post-therapeutic imaging using scintigraphy and cobalt-57 pen-marker autoradiography. This technique evaluates the efficacy of the radiosynovectomy and patient safety and could be utilized for dosimetric protocol.

Quantitative autoradiography was used to study cocaine binding sites in the human brain postmortem. Tritiated cocaine was applied to brain sections from three drug- and disease-free subjects at a low (10 nM) concentration and at a high (1 microM) concentration, the latter being in the range of brain concentrations of cocaine found in users of the drug. Autoradiographic studies with 3H aldosterone demonstrate nuclear concentration of hormone in neurons of the hippocampus, septum, allocortical regions and brain stem reticular formation and motor nuclei of cranial nerves and in the meninges. The results suggest that mineralocorticoids have wide ranging effects on different parts of the central nervous system.
