An analysis of abdominal wall endometrioma management was performed. History of cesarean section and/or uterine surgery and ultrasound are important in the diagnosis. Danazol test may confirm the diagnosis as well as reduce tumor size before operation. HF Electrosurgery, including spray coagulation technique are recommended in all cases. Hormonal therapy, including Danazol, Medroxyprogesterone or Lynestrenol gives poor effects in cases of endometrioma.

'Pregnon', a new oral contraceptive containing 1 mg. lynestrenol and 0.05 mg. ethinyl oestradiol, was administered cyclically to 639 women of fertile age over a total of 9,159 cycles. There were no pregnancies. In most cases the withdrawal bleeding resembled normal menstruation. The incidence of metrorrhagia was relatively low and when it did occur it was usually confined to the early treatment cycles and was of very limited duration. The objective and subjective tolerance was excellent.

Prolactin-like immunoreactivity has been localized by an immunoenzymatic method in the decidual cells of the endometrium in cases of early (10 weeks) normal pregnancy, (12 weeks) molar pregnancy, (8--10 weeks) tubal pregnancy, and of a nonpregnant woman under progestogen (lynestrenol) treatment. A specific endocrine influence, predominantly progestogenic, rather than the implantation of trophoblastic tissue seems to be required for the appearance of prolactin-like immunoreactivity in the decidual cells of the endometrium.

A 16-year-old girl suffered from 1 to 2-week periods of hypersomnia associated with each menstruation. Serum hormone levels were normal. The therapeutic effect of a long-term Gestagen therapy (lynestrenol) and a phytotherapy (Mastodynon) in comparison to a placebo group is reported in 160 cases of severe mastopathy with cyclic mastalgia. The binding of steroids to human ejaculated spermatozoa and the effect of steroids bound to spermatozoa on sperm migration and motility in vitro was examined. In a multicentre trial in Yugoslavia 150 fertile women were treated during 2541 menstrual cycles with Ovoresta M, a new low-dosed combined oral contraceptive pill.
