Mucinous nevus is an exceptional entity and presents as flesh-colored to brownish papules or plaques, coalescing to form a pigmentary or verrucous lesion with either a blaschkoid, linear, grouped or zosteriform disposition. It usually appears at birth or during early childhood, but late onset has also been described. Mucinous nevus does not require additional work-up as no internal pathologies have been described. Abstention of any therapeutic intervention is usually preferred.

An association of melanocytic nevus with eccrine glands has been well-documented and well-known as eccrine-centered nevus. Non-giant congenital nevi sometimes contain angiocentric and/or adnexocentric growth of nevus cells. Blood vessels are the most prominent site of nevus cell infiltration and propagation. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study is to verify if there are correlations between quantitative chest tomography (QCT) indexes and disease activity (DA) in a cohort of patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc).
METHODS: SSc patients were assessed for DA and underwent high resolution chest tomography (CT). CT images were analysed with an operator-independent algorithm extracting the QCT indexes. Dermal melanocytes are generally most numerous in the sacral, dorsal hand, and dorsal foot. There is also a slight rise that often occurs toward the axial line of the trunk. The practitioner needs to be aware and take necessary measures to properly diagnose the blue nevus from other forms of pigmented skin lesion. The authors believe that surgical excision with proper pathologic follow-up is the preferred treatment.

A 15-year-old boy first noticed multiple firm papules on his right upper chest two years before presenting to our clinic. These papules were densely distributed and showed epidermal nevus-like linear arrangement at some sites. The number, size, and distribution of these papules remained unchanged for one year of our observation.
