A chelation-assisted palladium-catalyzed cascade bromination/cyanation reaction of 2-arylpyridine and 1-arylpyrazole C-H bonds has been developed. Notably, the reaction employs K(3)[Fe(CN)(6)] as a safe and nontoxic cyanide source, providing aromatic nitriles in moderate to good yields in one-pot. The authors report the results of the treatment of 64 patients presenting with psoriasis by the applications of a natural highly mineralized bromine-iodine brine. The method has been shown to be highly efficacious and safe. The association between brominated flame retardant (BFRs) exposure and measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine (MMR) antibody responses was investigated using the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2003-2004). Using multivariate linear regression and restricted cubic spline (RCS) model, we found significant inverse association between single BFR exposure (BB-153 and BDE-100) and mumps antibody levels (P < 0.05).
