Two emollients, ammonium lactate 12% lotion and a liposome-based moisturizing lotion, were compared in a double-blind test for efficacy in the treatment of plantar xerosis. Vitiligo is a complex multifactorial disorder of depigmentation affecting 0.5 to 2% of the world's population without specific gender or racial prevalence.1 Though no treatments are FDA approved to repigment vitiligo, topical medications along with phototherapy alone or in combination remain the mainstay of therapy. BACKGROUND: Keratin pearls are intraepithelial accumulations of squamous cells and debris that can be an etiology of vulvovaginal irritation in pediatric patients and are often associated with clitoral adhesions. Historically, most cases have been managed with manual or operative lysis of adhesions.
CASE: Two prepubertal girls presented to our clinic with chronic clitoral irritation and were found to have clitoral adhesions with keratin pearls. Both were managed with topical estrogen cream, which resulted in resolution of their symptoms.

Harlequin ichthyosis is a rare, severe form of congenital ichthyosis, which probably represents a heterogeneous group of disorders. Unfortunately very little is known regarding the pathogenesis, course, and prognosis of harlequin ichthyosis because most of these infants die within a few weeks of birth. A case of an 9-year-old girl that had been a harlequin fetus, with clinical and histologic features similar to nonbullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma, is described.
