The authors present a case of a successful two-stage hysteroscopic resection of a submucosal fibroid and share helpful hints and tips for a successful procedure.A 41 year old female presented with subfertility and heavy, prolonged periods. An MRI scan confirmed a submucosal fibroid measuring 40 mm arising from the posterior wall and projecting in the endometrial cavity by more than 50% (FIGO type 1). PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Intrauterine adhesions (IUA) are fibrous bands of scar tissue within the uterine cavity resulting from trauma to the endometrium. Despite treatment with hysteroscopic lysis of IUA, recurrence rates are substantial, ranging from 3 to 25%. RESEARCH QUESTION: Does hysteroscopic metroplasty for a T-shaped uterus impact reproductive outcomes?
DESIGN: This retrospective study was carried out between January 2012 and March 2022 using data from Teba Centre, a tertiary centre in Iraq. In total, of 16,570 females with infertility, 216 (aged 14-46 years) with a diagnosis of congenital T-shaped uterus were analysed. Of these, 83 chose not to undergo surgery (uncorrected group), and 133 underwent hysteroscopic metroplasty. Patients' demographics, gynaecological history, reproductive outcomes and diagnostic imaging findings were analysed.

Water intoxication is rarely seen in forensic practice and is typically associated with excessive water consumption, amphetamine intake, and child abuse. Iatrogenic water intoxication is rare but usually related to medical disputes. Here, we report a 44-year-old female was admitted to the hospital due to a 3-month history of excessive menstrual bleeding. B-ultrasound revealed multiple substantial intrauterine masses, leading to a diagnosis of multiple uterine fibroids. After admission, she underwent submucous myomectomy, endometrial resection, and transcervical resection of endometrial polyps.

DESIGN: A prospective pilot study of 10 cases.
SETTING: A tertiary university hospital in Israel.
PATIENTS: Women with confirmed early miscarriage at a gestational age of below 10 weeks from the last menstrual period.
