The adsorption of antibiotics on minerals is an important process in their environment behavior. The adsorption behavior of antibiotics on iron-containing minerals and the effect of co-existing cations and anions were studied in this work. This study examined the release of several amino acids after induction of knee joint inflammation in rats using kaolin and carrageenan. During the initial 10-min collection after knee joint injection with the irritants, the concentration of glutamate and the nitric oxide metabolites, arginine and citrulline, doubled. In this study, the binary systems of kaolinite-goethite mixture (KGM) and kaolinite-goethite complex (KGC) were prepared by different methods, and the surface properties and humic acid adsorption of the samples were investigated.
