Changes in microheterogeneity of foetal plasma glycoproteins during development of mouse embryos were investigated. Analysis of foetal plasma by polyacrylamide-gel electrophoresis indicated three major zones of proteins: (1) transferrins, (2) alpha-foetoproteins and (3) albumin. In the present study, ternary blends based on poly (lactic acid)/poly (ε-caprolactone)/thermoplastic starch were prepared at different concentrations of synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) and thymol. Dosing of cefepime during high blood flow (Qb; 300 ml/min), high dialysate flow (Qd; 3 liter/h) continuous venovenous hemodialysis (CVVHD) is undefined. Six patients on CVVHD had serum and effluent cefepime concentrations measured at 0.5, 1, 2, 6, and 12 h after dosing. Three patients had cefepime concentrations less than the MIC for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A dose of 2,000 mg every 12 h or 1,000 mg every 8 h may increase time at a therapeutic concentration.

Six commercial preparations of human genomic DNA were quantified using five quantification methods: UV spectrometry, SYBR-Green dye staining, slot blot hybridization with the probe D17Z1, Quantifiler Human DNA Quantification kit and RB1 rt-PCR. A monooxygenase which catalyzed the oxidation of 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate to 1,2-dihydroxynaphthalene was purified from the phenanthrene- and naphthalene-degrading Pseudomonas putida strain BS202-P1. The non-oxidative decarboxylation of aromatic acids is a poorly understood reaction. The transformation of 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid to catechol in the fungal metabolism of indole is a prototype of such a reaction. 2,3-Dihydroxybenzoic acid decarboxylase (EC 4.1.1.46) which catalyzes this reaction was purified to homogeneity from anthranilate induced cultures of Aspergillus oryzae using affinity chromatography.
