INTRODUCTION: The middle ear ossicles form a semi rigid chain in the middle of the ear for conduction and amplification of sound waves from the tympanic membrane to the inner ear. Although, our knowledge of the ear ossicles dates back to the 15th century, and various studies have been carried out on their morphometry, morphology, anomalies, embryology, function and structure throughout the world, information about the morphology of middle ear ossicles is meagre in Indian subjects.
AIM: To find out the morphological variations of middle ear ossicles of right and left sides.

UNLABELLED: Objective：To calculate the prevalence of IgAD in a replicate cohort of the Chinese Han population in Shanghai area by screening blood donors and to study the genetic difference of IgAD individuals in the Mongoloid population.
METHODS: The prevalence of IgAD in a large number of Chinese blood donors (n=61624) in Shanghai area was investigated. The immunoglobulin class, IgG subclass and anti-IgA serum levels were measured among the IgAD donors. These donors were subsequently tissue typed and the allele frequency was compared with the Shanghai bone marrow donor HLA registry.

PURPOSE: We report our 11-year experience with a new technique to prefabricate the osteocutaneous free fibula flap to reconstruct defects of the maxilla and mandible not amenable to conventional methods of treatment.

PURPOSE: Fat embolism syndrome (FES) is a serious complication after orthopedic trauma. The aim of this study was to identify risk factors for FES in isolated lower extremity long bone fractures.
METHODS: The National Trauma Data Bank "NTDB" study included patients with isolated femoral and tibial fractures. A total of 344 patients with FES were propensity score matched with 981 patients without FES. Multivariate logistical regression was used to identify independent risk factors for FES.

Young boys undergoing gonadotoxic treatments are at high risk of spermatogonial stem cell (SSC) loss and fertility problems later in life. Stem cell loss can also occur in specific genetic conditions, eg, Klinefelter syndrome (KS). Before puberty, these boys do not yet produce sperm. Hence, they cannot benefit from sperm banking.
