Norfloxacin (NOR) is an early third-generation quinolone antibiotic that has been widely used in animal husbandry and aquaculture because of its bactericidal properties. The objective of the present study was to assess the effects of levonorgestrel (LNG), a synthetic progestin, on early development and the thyroid system of carp using morphological, histological, immunohistochemical, and gene expression analysis. Aeromonas species often cause disease in farmed fish. In the present study, dominant bacteria were isolated from diseased crucian carp (Carassius auratus gibelio).
