We examined patients attending an STD clinic (Department of Dermatology, Lasarettet, Lund). Chlamydia trachomatis was demonstrated in 26% of 2021 male patients by culture from the urethra (using cyclo-heximide-treated McCoy cells). The corresponding figure for Neisseria gonorrhoeae was 15%. We report a case of mpox in an active duty male on board a naval warship, who presented with a chancre-like penile lesion and ulcerating lymphadenopathy in the setting of a nonreactive treponemal test. During 2022, a global outbreak of mpox resulted primarily from human-to-human contact. The Virginia Department of Health (Richmond, VA, USA) implemented a contact tracing and symptom monitoring system for residents exposed to monkeypox virus, assessed their risk for infection, and offered interventions as needed. OBJECTIVES: Patient-delivered partner therapy (PDPT) describes the giving of a prescription or antibiotics by an index case with chlamydia to their sexual partners.
