The preoperative differential diagnosis for a pericoronal radiolucent lesion was hyperplastic follicle, dentigerous cyst, odontogenic keratocyst, and remotely, ameloblastoma. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and the coinfection of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and Kaposi sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) in radicular cysts, dentigerous cysts, odontogenic keratocysts, and ameloblastomas.
