Analytical IEF, immunofixation, and silver nitrate staining of mouse monoclonal, human myeloma, and multiple sclerosis (MS) oligoclonal IgG result in multiple bands. Because the IgG secreted by mouse hybridoma and multiple myeloma are the products of single clones of cells, it is reasonable to propose that MS CSF IgG multiple bands may be derived from one or a small number of clones of IgG secretors.

Spleen cells from BALB/c mice infected two weeks earlier with Mycobacterium lepraemurium were fused with myeloma cells, and, using an indirect immunofluorescence assay, a hybridoma was selected which secreted ananti-M. lepraemurium IgM antibody. The essential findings in this paper are that ox erythrocytes (ORBC) sensitized with human heterophile IgM antibody failed to detect Fc mu receptors on human lymphocytes. These results contrast to those obtained when the ORBC were sensitized with mouse hybridoma IgM antibody (SCC I). We established an IgA monoclonal antibody (mAb) against Shiga toxin 1 B subunits (Stx1B) from mouse nasal-associated lymphoid tissues (NALT) of BALB/c mice.
