One hundred and seven surgical procedures performed on 98 patients with stable renal allograft function are analyzed. They represent 35.5% of 276 patients who underwent renal transplants. The surgical procedures were not related to the graft or its arteries and vein. The procedures were gynecologic 8, urologic 24, thoracic 6, ophthalmologic 8, neurosurgical 2, general surgery 37, orthopedic 17 and plastic surgery 5. PURPOSE: To assess current practice patterns for management of upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty by active American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery members.
METHODS: An invitation to participate in a web-based anonymous survey was sent to the active American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery membership via email. The survey consists of 34 questions, both multiple choice and free response, regarding upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery. Urologic surgery offers a broad spectrum of reconstructive procedures in males and females. A distinction should be made between constructive surgery as in cases of malformations or transsexualism and reconstructive procedures mainly after extensive tumor resections. Besides the description of different techniques in (re)construction of the external genitalia in females, the following article also addresses considerations concerning the indication for this kind of surgery and discusses some general aspects in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

This is a case report of a 62-year-old male who had penile augmentation surgery performed in Turkey. The surgery was complicated by infection and necrosis of the penile skin. The patient was treated with antibiotics, repeated wound debridement and a full thickness skin graft. Cosmetic penile surgery is considered controversial due to poor results and severe complications. Most men who seek surgery have normal penile size and may show signs of body dysmorphic disorder with avoidance behaviour and erectile dysfunction. These patients should be offered psychological treatment.
