Plaque psoriasis is a chronic, immune-mediated, cutaneous, and systemic inflammatory dermatosis. Its pathogenesis involves the dysregulation of the interleukin (IL)-23/IL-17 signaling pathway. There are a range of treatment options available, encompassing topical agents, biologics, oral systemic therapy, and phototherapy. The utility of combination treatment has also been described and is a budding field of research. Here we describe the first case of adult severe generalized plaque psoriasis treated with once-daily oral deucravacitinib 6 mg combined with tapinarof cream 1% applied once daily.

Mercurialis tomentosa L. has been used in Spanish ethnomedicine. In the present study the first phytochemical characterisation of a lipid fraction from M. tomentosa was performed. PURPOSE: To discuss the contribution of psoralen and bergapten metabolites on psoralens toxicity.
METHODS: Computational chemistry prediction of metabolic reactions and toxicophoric groups based on the expert systems Derek and Meteor.
RESULTS: a total of 15 metabolites were suggested for both psoralen and bergapten based on phase 1 and 2 biotransformations until the 3rd generation. Five toxicophoric substructures were shared among psoralen, bergapten and their corresponding metabolites; one toxicophoric marker (resorcinol) was only identified in bergapten and its biotransformation products.

An efficient method for the synthesis of novel phenylazo-containing moieties is described. The derivatives of 5-(4-(phenyldiazenyl)phenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole, substituted at position 2 of the heterocyclic scaffold with alkyl groups of different chain lengths, were prepared.
