BACKGROUND/PURPOSE: Isolated tubal torsion associated with hydrosalpinx is a rare pathology. Our goal was to analyze the clinical and imaging features and discuss the different treatment options available.
METHODS: We retrospectively reviewed all the cases of adnexal torsion treated in our department of pediatric surgery over a 10-year period. We searched 2 electronic databases (Medline and Sciencedirect) and targeted reports published during the same period using the key words tubal torsion and hydrosalpinx.

BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and risk factor of cartilage degeneration of the patellofemoral joint (PFJ) that was diagnosed by second-look arthroscopy.
METHODS: One-hundred and seven patients who underwent ACL reconstruction were evaluated by preoperative MRI, postoperative MRI and second-look arthroscopy. Severity of infrapatellar fat pad (IPFP) fibrosis was evaluated by MRI at an average of 26months after ACL reconstruction. Cartilage degeneration was assessed by second-look arthroscopy at 29months.

Sex-cord stromal tumors (SCT) are rare pediatric tumors accounting for less than 5% of gonadal tumors in children and adolescents. They differ from those diagnosed in adults by their presentation, histology, evolution and treatment modalities. Testicular SCT occur mostly in infants less than 6 months. BACKGROUND: A pilot study was made to assess the efficacy and safety of a new nonabsorbable adhesion barrier (Shelhigh Dome Pericondial Patch No-React Treated) in reducing adhesion after extensive myomectomy by laparotomy with a planned second-look laparoscopy.
METHODS: In 20 patients after extensive myomectomy and full thickness uterine wall reconstruction, the patch was sutured over the uterus. Second-look laparoscopy was performed 6 weeks postoperatively. Third-look laparoscopy was done in 3 patients.
RESULTS: Surgeries were completed without intraoperative or postoperative complications.

Thirty-five consecutive, previously untreated patients with intra-abdominal non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (IANHL), seen between January 1971 and June 1978, were entered on the LSA2-L2 protocol.
