A long-acting analog of LRH (LRHa) has been shown to suppress pituitary gonadotropin and estradiol secretion to prepubertal levels in girls with idiopathic true precocious puberty. We treated six boys, aged 1-6 yr, with true precocious puberty due to hypothalamic hamartoma for 6-24 months with daily sc injections of LRHa. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to compare 3 different doses of GnRH-a in a short protocol on ICSI outcome.
METHODS: 91 ovulatory patients were randomly assigned to three groups; group A (N=34), group B (N=34) and group C (N=23). All started treatment with urinary gonadotropins, 2 ampoules per day and GnRH-a (Triptorelin) on the first day of the menstrual period and continued till the day of (hCG) administration. BACKGROUND: Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is a common autosomal dominant genetic disorder with an extremely variable phenotype. In childhood NF1 can be associated with optic glioma and central precocious puberty; the latter is more common when the optic chiasm is affected. BACKGROUND: Several factors can affect oocyte quality and therefore pregnancy outcome in assisted reproductive technology (ART) cycles. Recently, a number of studies have shown that the presence of several compounds in the follicular fluid positively correlates with oocyte quality and maturation (i.e., myo-inositol and melatonin).

This report is to illustrate two cases of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome following the sole administration of injectable mid-luteal gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists (triptorelin) for pituitary down-regulation. Both women underwent egg retrieval, and despite the transfer of good quality embryos, no pregnancy was achieved. The possible mechanism and management of the condition were discussed.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the hormonal (focusing on the urinary steroid profile) and clinical effects of chronic gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist treatment in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) suffering from hirsutism. A long-acting GnRH agonist was administered for 6 months in eight PCOS patients. Hormonal effects were measured by determining serum luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), prolactin, testosterone and estradiol concentrations, and by profiling urinary steroids using capillary gas chromatography of 24-hour urine samples.
