We describe 2 patients, one a glaucoma suspect because of family history and the other with juvenile glaucoma. Both patients developed complications after laser in situ keratomileusis that required frequent topical steroids, leading to steroid-induced glaucoma. In both cases, corneal edema from the acute rise in intraocular pressure (IOP) caused inaccurate IOP measurement by standard methods. The inability to recognize glaucoma early may have resulted in significant irreversible vision loss.

PURPOSE: To assess the feasibility of a new technique to manage hyperfiltering blebs after penetrating glaucoma surgery.
METHODS: Neodymium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd:YAG) laser bursts were used to induce bleeding in conjunctival and episcleral vessels in the bleb area to achieve local delivery of autologous blood.

PURPOSE: To demonstrate the in-vivo morphology of the ciliary body in Weill-Marchesani syndrome which might be of pathophysiological importance for the spherical shape of the crystalline lens.
METHODS: Three juvenile patients with Marchesani syndrome were examined by ultrasound biomicroscopy of the anterior segment.
RESULTS: The in-vivo configuration of the ciliary body in these Weill-Marchesani patients with normal axial length of the eye showed no signs of hyperplasia, and was even relatively small.

We have investigated the variations in the aqueous humor flow (F) after argon laser photocoagulation (ALT) in the trabecular meshwork. The research has been done on 60 eyes with primary open angle glaucoma within initial stages. Authors use the Octopus 2000 automatic perimeter to study the evolution of visual field defects of 37 glaucomatous eyes treated by argon laser trabeculoplasty and followed up for one year. In a first time, half inferior laser trabeculoplasty is performed; half superior complement is done three months later if visual field defects improve. Various visual fields are compared by statistic delta program. Three months after trabeculoplasty more than 85% of visual field loss decrease or are stabilized. The same results are found after one year, without modification of initial medication.
