Athymic and euthymic BALB/c mice infected with highly (Pb18) or slightly (Pb265) virulent Paracoccidioides brasiliensis isolates were compared regarding mortality, presence of viable yeasts, specific immunoglobulin M (IgM) and IgG titers, and the antigen recognition patterns of these antibodies.
