BACKGROUND/AIMS: To investigate the clinical features of Chinese patients with seropositive myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody (MOG-Ab) optic neuritis (ON) and patients with seropositive aquaporin-4 antibody (AQP4-Ab) ON.
METHODS: In this retrospective observational study, sera from patients with demyelinating ON were tested for MOG-Ab and AQP4-Ab with a cell-based assay. Clinical characteristics were compared between MOG-Ab-related ON (MOG-ON) and AQP4-Ab-related ON (AQP4-ON), including visual performances, serum autoantibodies and features on MRI.

PURPOSE: To describe the long-term ocular effects of airsoft gun pellet injuries.
METHODS: The present study extends by 7-10 years the results of a 2010 study on the acute ocular findings related to airsoft gun pellet injuries in 59 patients, wherein we found a variety of anterior and posterior segment injuries, including hyphema (66%), corneal edema (61%), corneal erosions (59%), and traumatic mydriasis (25%), as well as retinal edema in (22%), retinal hemorrhages and mild vitreous hemorrhage in (2.1%), and, in 1 patient, elevated intraocular pressure and traumatic cataract.

BACKGROUND: Previous studies with advanced imaging like phase-sensitive optical coherence tomography suggest the trabecular meshwork-Schlemm's canal complex may show subtle motion related to intraocular pressure fluctuations or cardiac rhythm. However, direct visualization of rhythmic motion in the Schlemm's canal region during routine gonioscopy has been undocumented. Here, we report an incidental finding during dynamic gonioscopy, where a retained 10 - 0 suture within Schlemm's canal exhibited subtle, regular back-and-forth movement at the 2-year follow-up after penetrating canaloplasty.
