BACKGROUND: Adolescents have special reproductive health needs, but these peculiar needs are often unmet in many cultures and countries.
METHODS: A cross-sectional study involving adolescents in three secondary schools in a northern Nigerian setting. Demographic characteristics as well as reproductive health issues (adolescent sex, abortion, sexual experience) among the students were surveyed.

Our aim is to describe the current situation regarding the diagnosis and treatment of addiction in a variety of settings in Spain. Four-hundred and twenty-seven physicians known to treat addicted patients in non-private settings were recruited and agreed to participate. CONTEXT: Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is a disorder with a wide spectrum of severity.
OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to investigate cognitive function in CAH women.
DESIGN: This was a case-control study.
SETTING: This study was conducted at a tertiary center for pediatric endocrinology at the University Hospital of Copenhagen.
PARTICIPANTS: Thirty-five Danish CAH women (age 17-51 yr) were included, and participation rate was 84%. Control women were recruited through the Danish Civil Registration System and matched on age and education.

Over the past decade, eastern Europe has experienced a resurgence of trichinellosis. A recent outbreak in Serbia, Yugoslavia, from December 2001 to January 2002, involving 309 people, revealed many of the causes for this reemergence. This study was based on the screening data of April 1979-June 1984 to provide descriptive epidemiology of cervical cancer in Taiwan. During the 63 months, 175,823 women were screened and 1988 (1.13%) suspicious cases were found. The predictive value of a positive test was 50.14% and the specificity of the screening test was 99.44%. The estimated cancer rate among the screened population was 0.57%.
