INTRODUCTION: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is an effective treatment for multiple movement disorders and shows substantial promise for the treatment of some neuropsychiatric and other disorders of brain neurocircuitry. OBJECTIVES: To discuss risk factors and describe laparoscopic management of an unusual late complication of sacrocolpopexy mesh erosion resulting in enterocervical fistula after supracervical hysterectomy and robotic sacrocervicopopexy.
CASE: We report on a unique case of a long-term mesh complication after robotic supracervical hysterectomy and polypropylene mesh sacrocervicopexy. Four years after the procedure, the patient was found to have mesh extrusion through the cervical os as well as mesh erosion into the sigmoid colon with a connecting enterocervical fistula.

Acetabular osteolysis has been linked to polyethylene debris that is generated in the hip migrating through screw holes in the acetabular component. Solid-backed acetabular components were designed to decrease this osteolysis. INTRODUCTION: Female urethral stricture secondary to erosión by suburethral sling is an unfrequent problem of difficult solution. Ventral vaginal rotation flaps or buccal mucosa dorsal grafts are not useful because this type of stricture is very proximal (close to the bladder neck) and the vagina is thinned. A 23-year-old man, operated on for pectus excavatum with a modified Ravitch procedure, was admitted to our emergency department suffering from severe dyspnea. Massive pericardial effusion, rupture of the sinus of Valsalva, and aortic-to-right ventricular fistula were present on echocardiography. Cardiac penetration of the metal bar was detected on chest CT scan. The defect at the right sinus of Valsalva was closed with a PTFE patch, and the right aortic and ventricular ruptures were repaired primarily.

PURPOSE: A posterior chamber intraocular lens (PCIOL) wrongly placed in anterior chamber (AC) can lead to progressive endothelial loss and damage to angle structures. We describe a sutureless, closed-chamber translocation technique to maneuver a PCIOL from AC into the PC and fixate it transsclerally with fibrin glue in presence of a large posterior capsular rent.
METHODS: This is a prospective interventional case series. The participants were three cases of PCIOL in AC with high intraocular pressure and poor uncorrected visual acuity who underwent the translocation surgery successfully.
