STUDY OBJECTIVES: To describe the effectiveness in the clinical use of a new bipolar needle for performing laparoscopic coagulation of symptomatic uterine myomas, and to compare it with the neodymium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd:YAG) laser.
