A 93-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of respiratorydiscomfort. A chest CT scan indicated aspiration pneumonitis and, simultaneously, intussusception was observed in the splenic flexure region. Abdominal enhance CT scan revealed a tumor in the advanced region of intussusception. Laparoscopy-assisted ileocecal resection was performed. Colorectal follicular lymphomas, primary or secondary, are rare. Magnifying endoscopy with narrow-band imaging is useful in the diagnosis of colorectal follicular lymphoma. In addition, immunohistochemistry is essential in differentiating follicular lymphoma cells from lymphoid follicle hyperplasia based on the presence of Bcl-2 expression. We herein report a rare case of follicular lymphoma of the caecum, presenting as a small polyp that was resected endoscopically.

A 26-year-old man was admitted to hospital because of lower quadrant pain. Colonoscopy showed a polypoid lesion (0- Ip: protruded, pedunculated)in the cecum. Endoscopic biopsy revealed a tubular adenoma with severe atypia. Laparoscopy- assisted ileocecal resection was performed, as the diameter of the tumor made colonoscopic treatment difficult. Appendiceal intussusceptions were found in the excised specimen. The tumor was mucosal in origin. The patient remained cancer-free after the surgery.

Carcinoid tumours of the appendix are uncommon incidentally detected tumours during histopathological examination following appendicectomy for acute appendicitis. Proximal to the anal canal, carcinomas composed in whole or in part of squamous epithelium are distinctly uncommon, accounting for 0.1 per cent of all colorectal carcinomas. Pure squamous cell carcinoma of the colorectum are extremely rare. Here we report a case of primary squamous cell carcinoma of the caecum in a 55 year old lady from South India.

Appendiceal mucocele is a rare entity frequently associated with colorectal cancer. We report two cases of mucocele associated with colorectal tumours. The first case (male, 64 yrs) is an appendiceal mucinous cystadenoma found incidentally during surgery for colon cancer. There is no evidence of disease after a 4-year follow-up. Cecal volvulus is a rare cause of intestinal obstruction after major abdominal surgery. A case of cecal volvulus occurring in the early postoperative period after left colon resection for malignancy is presented. Clinical evaluation and plain abdominal radiographs suggesting cecal volvulus prompted laparotomy and correction. Delay in diagnosis results in high mortality, and treatment depends largely on the viability of the involved intestine. This report describes the second case of cecal volvulus complicating a left colectomy. It was treated by detorsion and reperitonealization cecopexy.

Villous adenoma of the appendix is an uncommon neoplasm. Intussusception of the appendix is a rare pathological entity. We report here an intussusception of the appendix, the lead point being a villous adenoma, presenting in a 62-year-old male whose initial complaint was a progressive enlargement of a right inguinal hernia. The endoscopic, surgical, and pathologic data are presented. A review of the literature of this uncommon entity is also presented.

While endometriosis is a commonly encountered surgical problem, involvement of the gastrointestinal tract is infrequent and appendiceal involvement rate. Intussusception of the appendix is more frequent. Accordingly, the concurrence of appendiceal endometriosis and intussusception is remarkable. We treated two such patients.
