OBJECTIVE: This study aims to evaluate of the impact of NO molecules in Pluronic F-127 gel, applied topically in the clitoris, on the clitoridian blood flow of healthy volunteer women, using the Doppler ultra-sound.
METHOD: A total of 20 healthy women over 18 years old and sexually active with no sexual hormones alteration were enrolled. The Doppler ultra-sound procedure was performed on the artery of the clitoris in patients without the NO donor gel, and then after fifteen minutes of its application the same procedure was done again, to compare the values.

INTRODUCTION: To describe a variant of clitoroplasty.
TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS: Seven patients with virilized external genitalia were treated for a hypertrophied clitoris using this procedure. The principles of the technique include mobilization of the glans with its neurovascular bundle and an important symmetric reduction of the length and diameter of the corpora cavernosa, as well as the volume of the glans.
CONCLUSIONS: The objective of this technique is to preserve the sensitive glans and to create an excellent cosmetic aspect for the clitoris.

Hemangiomas are benign vascular tumors commonly seen in early childhood, typically occurring on the face, scalp, chest, or back. Clitoral hemangiomas, especially in adults, are exceptionally rare. This case report describes a unique presentation of clitoromegaly due to a cavernous hemangioma of the clitoris in a 39-year-old woman who presented with a progressive and worsening swelling of the clitoris for five years. A surgical excision of the cyst was performed, and a histological examination confirmed a cavernous hemangioma.

Isolated female epispadias without bladder exstrophy is an extremely rare congenital anomaly. The symptoms of female epispadias are primary urinary incontinence and abnormal anatomical features. A 7-year-old girl presented with partial incontinence of urine. On physical examination, bifid clitoris and labia minora were seen. The vagina and hymen were normal. Voiding cystourethrogram showed no reflux. With the diagnosis of isolated female epispadias, single stage reconstruction of the urethra, labia minora and clitoris was performed.

A case is presented of painful priapism of the clitoris lasting 3 days, with a strong temporal association with the administration of nefazodone hydrochloride. Priapism has been described as a rare side-effect of drugs with high alpha1-adrenergic blocking potential. However, the alpha1-adrenergic blocking potential of nefazodone is moderate. Drug-induced clitoral priapism has been described for citalopram, bromocriptine, fluoxetine and trazodone combined with fluoxetine. To our knowledge, this is the first report in the literature about priapism of the clitoris associated with nefazodone.

The external genitalia of four adult female pygmy chimpanzees (Pan paniscus) were examined during a 2-year period. It was found that the labia majora are retained in adults of this species and that, when tumescent, the labia minora effectively relocate the frenulum and clitoris so that they point anteriorly between the thighs. A new technique of reduction clitoroplasty is presented. The procedure consists of a subtotal resection of the shaft of the clitoris with preservation of the dorsal neurovascular bundle of the glans. The purpose is to preserve erogenous glans clitoris and the erection of the crura. The anatomical results in 8 patients were excellent; partial necrosis occurred in a 12-year-old patient. The functional result remains unknown since the children are still young. This technique of clitoroplasty is, as far as we know, the most conservative procedure to date.

Isolated female epispadias without exstrophy is an extremely rare syndrome. The symptoms of female epispadias are primary urinary incontinence and abnormal anatomical features. A 12-year-old girl presented with primary urinary incontinence. On physical examination, bifid clitoris and labia minora were seen. The vagina and hymen were normal. Voiding cystourethrogram showed no reflux. With the diagnosis of isolated female epispadias, one-stage reconstruction of the urethra, bladder neck and labia minora and clitoris was performed.

Hemangioma is a common benign neoplasm, but a location such as the clitoris is very rare. However, it is very important to differentiate clitoral hemangioma from enlargement of the clitoris secondary to androgen excess. To the best of our knowledge, only three cases of clitoromegaly caused by cavernous hemangioma have been reported in the English literature. Herein, we report our experience with a 16-year-old girl who presented with clitoromegaly and normal hormonal assay that turned out to be clitoral cavernous hemangioma after pathologic examination of the clitoral mass.
