Intracardiac blood cysts are rare congenital malformations most commonly located in the endocardium of semilunar or atrioventricular valves. They are predominantly seen in infants, especially below 2 months of age, and disappear spontaneously in the first 6 months of life making the detection of blood cysts a rare finding in the adult population. Cardiac papillary fibroelastomas are benign primary cardiac tumors usually arising from the normal components of the endocardium. Cardiac papillary fibroelastoma is a rare primary cardiac tumor arising from any part of the endocardium. In particular, papillary fibroelastoma originating from the mitral valve chordae is very rare. A 66-year-old man was hospitalized for a left ventricular tumor. A 79-year-old woman with a history of pulmonary vein isolation for persistent atrial fibrillation was admitted for recurrence of atrial tachycardia, with a tachycardia cycle length of 236 milliseconds. The authors report a case of carcinoid heart disease secondary to a tumour of the small bowel with liver metastases. There were severe lesions of the endocardium on the right side of the heart, with gross pulmonary and tricuspid incompetence. Among 111 infants with coarctation of the aorta, fibroelastosis of the left ventricular endocardium was found in 14 cases comprising 12.6%. Such a combination usually caused an extremely poor state of the patients and served as an indication for surgery.
