Conservative hemipelvectomy is the resection of the ischium, ilium and subjacent extremity. It differs from the orthodox hemipelvectomy method by retaining the ilium, which permits the patient to have normal balance, Sarcomas of the soft tissue extend toward the attachment of the pelvis. The operation has been performed upon ten patients, and the entire operative procedure can be done using the anterior approach, thus minimizing the need to turn the patient. OBJECTIVE: A bone infarct may occasionally dedifferentiate to osteogenic sarcoma, fibrosarcoma or malignant fibrous histiocytoma. However, the association of an angiosarcoma with a bone infarct is extremely rare. Such an association is presented in three patients. Thirteen patients with 14 pathologic, supracondylar, and distal femoral fractures were evaluated retrospectively. The Zickel supracondylar device was easy to use and applicable to a wide range of clinical problems. It provided good functional and symptomatic results in 11 of 14 cases. Two patients required a removal of metal implants due to soft-tissue irritation. Attention to the detail of insertion of the Zickel device may prevent complications.

BACKGROUND: Osteosarcomas, despite their aggressive nature and propensity to metastasize, only rarely give rise to skin deposits.
CASE: We report a case of a femoral osteosarcoma in which cutaneous scalp and neck metastases developed 3 years after treatment of the primary disease. Fine needle aspiration was pivotal in diagnosing the secondary disease.

BACKGROUND: Angioleiomyoma is a very rare benign solitary soft tissue neoplasm originating from smooth muscle layer of blood vessels. The tumor is usually located in the subcutis or the superficial fasciae, but less often in the deep fasciae, especially rare in the knee joint cavity. Diagnosis is frequently delayed or misdiagnosed as loose body or anterior knee pain because of its rare occurrence and poor awareness of physicians. Few studies have presented intra-articular angioleiomyoma and such cases become rarer and more difficult to diagnose when it presents as loose body.
